Currently, Advance Inoculant brand liquid inoculants and concentrates are not certified as “organic” by the Organic Materials Review Institute(OMRI). While Advance Inoculant® branded materials do not use any genetically modified bacterial strains, and the other raw materials and ingredients are indeed either “natural” or food grade, the issue lies with part of our manufacturing process. To create the highest quality products possible, we sterilize the empty packaging for our a liquid products prior to filling the packaging with liquid inoculants. We utilize gamma irradiation to sterilize the empty packaging.

Ironically, even though the sterilization process yields a purer product free from background, unwanted, or detrimental bacteria, the sterilization process itself disqualifies Advance Inoculant® products from the OMRI list.
